How it works

Three steps. Clean minutes.

Step 1

Pick a minutes template

Board meeting, 1-on-1, project review, client call, brainstorm. Each template comes with the sections you actually need to record.

Step 2

Capture what happened. We structure it.

Fill each section: attendees, decisions, action items, open questions. The preview updates live on the right as you type.

Step 3

Copy, download, or share

One click: clean Markdown into your docs, a PDF for your files, or a shareable link that restores the template for the next recap.

The follow-through problem

Decisions made in meetings die without minutes

Minutes turn conversations into commitments. Commitments turn into action. Without them, the meeting was theatre.

67%
of action items go untracked

Two out of three decisions made in meetings never make it into a system where anyone follows up. Structured minutes fix this in one step.

Atlassian Workplace Survey
24h
is the distribution window

Minutes sent within 24 hours are read and acted on. Minutes sent three days later are skimmed and forgotten. Speed matters more than polish.

Meeting science research
1 page
is the right length

Good minutes are half a page to one page for a 60-minute meeting. Decisions and commitments only. Anything longer is notes, not minutes.

Meeting minutes, answered.

Everything you need to know about recording what happened.

Start with the meeting header (title, date, time, location, attendees), then record decisions, action items, and open questions as they happen. Keep it structured: decisions separate from discussion, action items with owners and due dates. Our generator does the structure for you: pick a template, fill each section, and get clean minutes in seconds.

Effective meeting minutes include: (1) meeting title, date, time, and location, (2) attendees with present/absent/late status (flag the chair or note-taker in the attendee's note field), (3) decisions made with outcomes (approved, consensus, vote count), (4) action items with owners and due dates, (5) open questions that didn't resolve. For formal meetings, also note the time of adjournment and next meeting date.

Shorter than you think. A 60-minute meeting typically produces half a page to one page of minutes. If yours are three pages, you're probably recording discussion instead of decisions. The rule: someone who wasn't there should be able to read the minutes in 2 minutes and know what was decided and what they owe.
