Key Takeaways
- Delete your Kai account from inside the app: account avatar (top-right) → Settings → Profile → Delete account → type your email → confirm.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your settings and the data Kai stores or controls; data in connected third-party accounts (for example Gmail or Outlook) is not affected.
- The main way to delete is from inside the Kai app (web or downloaded app). If you can't access your account, contact support as a last resort and ask us to delete it.
- If your account has an active subscription, you may need to cancel it before the account can be deleted.
This page explains how to delete your account in the Kai app, what is removed when you do, and what to do if you can no longer access your account.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside Kai:
- Tap the account avatar in the top-right corner. The account menu opens.
- Tap Settings.
- Open Profile from the menu.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type your account email address into the field to confirm it is you.
- Tap Delete account to confirm.
Your account is then deleted and you are signed out. On mobile, the account avatar is the entry point — there is no Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Your settings and the data Kai stores or controls are deleted.
- Data in connected third-party accounts — for example a connected Gmail or Outlook mailbox or calendar — is not affected by deleting your Kai account. Only the credentials Kai stored to connect to them are removed; your data with those providers stays under your control.
If you can't access your account
The main way to delete your account is from inside the Kai app — on the web or the downloaded app — using the steps above, while signed in.
If you can no longer sign in and cannot complete those steps yourself, contact support as a last resort and ask us to delete your account for you.
Viewing this page does not require an account.
A note on billing
If your account has an active subscription, you may need to cancel the subscription before the account can be deleted. Deleting your Kai account does not by itself stop a separate subscription.
